Well, today was an interesting day. Work was the same as usual. Went to get Piper like usual, but the school was released early. See, today in Moore, the Westboro Baptist Chuch came to my alma mater for a visit to preach about their agenda. Call it a spur of the moment decision, but I thought that this would be something to see; not just for myself, but for Piper as well.
It was truly something to be part of. Seeing so many different types of people come from my community to tell a hate group that they're not welcome? So completely awesome.
It might've made my blood boil to see them standing on the flag most of the men in my family have fought for, but it's alright, because Moore Oklahoma told them they weren't welcome anymore.
It didn't take them long to leave, and yet we stayed put, just being a community.
