I'm so proud!
May. 16th, 2005 07:18 amI'm so proud of my Dad. Today is the one year anniversary of him putting the cigarettes down. For good. I know he's had a hard time with it (I can see it every time I look at him! He gained 40 lbs!) but I hope he knows it's worth it. Now he'll be there to see his granddaughter walk down the aisle, and maybe hold his first great-grandchild. (Heavens knows he won't see his DAUGHTER get married again! ^___^) I just wanted to tell everyone how proud I am of him, and how much I respect him for sticking to it this time.
Now Piper, on the other hand... She's decided to drop her self defense for a session. She says she just wants a break, but I know how she is. She goes all gung-ho after something and excels or a while, then she lets it drop off, still doing well, and then it stops altogether. I really think the class is good for her (physically and self esteem-wise) but she made her choice. I'll keep sparring her at home, and maybe she'll go back after a bit of a break.
